SPE Automotive Awards 2025
ENGEL captured four gold awards at the 2025 SPE Automotive Awards, recognizing breakthroughs in Electronic/Optical Part, Body Interior, Enabler Technology and the Grand Innovation Award.
The winning projects show how smart interaction of material, process and machine technology sets new benchmarks— from a thermoplastic high-voltage battery housing with ~43% lower lifecycle CO₂, to a recyclable TPE-O airbag cover with premium surface finish, and a 3K decorative part produced without paint or plating.
Each solution is designed for sustainable, cost-efficient series production.

World premiere of the tie-bar-less ENGEL victory electric at K 2025
At the K 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf, ENGEL introduced the victory electric, the world’s first tie-bar-less electric injection moulding machine.
This innovation sets new standards in precision, energy efficiency, and flexibility. Combining the proven advantages of tie-bar-less technology with the dynamics of an all-electric drive, the victory electric offers maximum mould space, shorter cycle times, and optimized productivity within a compact footprint.
Efficient processing of recyclates with the all-electric e-mac: ENGEL presents a compact foaming concept with high material savings at K 2025
At K 2025, the all-electric ENGEL e-mac 220 showcases in-mould foaming of technical parts from 100% PCR, delivering ~30% lower part weight and +10% higher impact strength on a minimal footprint.
The combination of ENGEL foammelt and Moxietec additives creates a fine-cell structure, while iQ melt control and iQ flow control stabilize the process and reduce energy use.
With Movacolor gravimetric dosing, a 2-cavity Moxietec mould, and integrated automation (ENGEL viper 12 + servo sprue picker), the cycle time is ~120 s with highly consistent part quality.
