On an all-electric e-speed 420/90 injection moulding machine with integrated in-mould labelling (IML), ready-to-fill margarine tubs are produced from polypropylene in a fully automated injection-compression moulding process. These margarine tubs are made of polypropylene including the label. At the end of their useful life, the mono-material packaging can be shredded just like the production waste generated during manufacture, and the raw material obtained can be processed into new products. Label offcuts, in the form of regranulate, are used to produce cone closures on a tie-bar-less victory 460/80  injection moulding machine with an 8-cavity mould from Pöppelmann. This is proof of how circular economy can be promoted for the plastics industry.

Our micro injection unit, developed in cooperation with ACH Solutions, demonstrates the highest precision with simultaneous flexibility and economic efficiency: Connecting elements used in instruments for ophthalmic diagnostics are produced in a cold runner valve gate mould with 32 cavities. The filigree parts measure 1.7 mm in length and 0.9 mm in diameter and weigh just 0.0005 grams. These parts are produced on a tie-bar-less, fully electric e-motion 30 TL, which can be converted to a conventional injection unit within a short time thanks to a quick coupling. This enables a flexible 2-in-1 solution for the production of parts with a high shot weight range on a single machine.

The quality of pipette tips depends significantly on the precision of the injection process. At the same time, the long cores in the mould require absolutely precise movements of the mould fixing platens during opening and closing. Fully electric injection moulding machines are therefore the preferred choice in this application segment, with cost-effectiveness being a decisive factor in machine selection. With the e-mac, ENGEL has an all-electric injection moulding machine in its range that combines high performance and energy efficiency with an extremely compact machine design, thus ensuring the lowest unit costs even in regulated cleanroom environments.

We are expanding our range of intelligent assistance systems for Fakuma 2021. The new iQ motion control enables linear robots of the ENGEL viper series to perform a safe early start combined with fully automatically optimised path planning. The user benefits twice over, through time savings in teaching and shorter production cycles. iQ motion control will be included in the standard scope of delivery of all new linear robots in the ENGEL viper series from October. Irrespective of the injection moulding machine type and the type of removal, injection moulders benefit even with simple handling tasks. The efficiency gain is particularly clear in applications with large mould opening strokes, such as the production of deep housing components, boxes or containers that require long mould cores.

MB Conveyors says that they are looking forward to meeting the customers live again and that the visitors of the fair will once again have the opportunity to see the quality of the products at the stand. At the booth MB Conveyors will present: flat conveyor mod. PA, adjustable inclination conveyors mod. N-CPR and N-CPTR, a sprue separator mod. F-SRV PLUS, a turntable mod. TVC, and a Duck dispenser.

At Fakuma 2021, MB Conveyors will present its new Virtual Showroom: a new tool that from now on will allow us to overcome distances and provide our stakeholders an innovative and always-accessible means of contact.

Users will be able to explore the category-specific rooms and MB products in a new way, looking at them from every angle and checking out details thanks to the interactive infopoints, where they will find videos, 3D animations, links, technical datasheets and much more.

It will also be possible to organize a guided tour of the platform with the assistance of an MB sales representative: an additional tool for our sales network, which, using this interactive platform, which can be consulted anywhere, will be able to find new ways of interacting and overcome possible obstacles dictated by the current scenario.

Tria – booth B3-3215

Among TRIA’s best sellers in the injection field, the JM series has seen the birth of a new version, the result of listening to customers’ needs. Alongside the previous models, which continue to be present in the line-up dedicated to injection, a new version of JM 2115 and 4215. Among the main innovations we find:

  • A hopper with increased inlet to better collect the material coming from the press
  • A reduced height to be easily positioned under the press
  • A small footprint to make the most of the space available next to the press, ensuring an agile passage to personnel and work vehicles
  • High efficiency motor to reduce consumption
  • Noise reduced to a minimum without the use of a soundproof box for both in-line and off-line use.

4.0 technology is the new standard, also companies are adopting to it. TRIA that keeps attention to customer needs, is doing the same: we have created various applications including a repeated supply to a big Automotive Multinational. TRIA that is adopting Euromap directives in terms of communication protocols OPC-UA between different machines, has created applications that can be easily adaptive to the customers production line.

  • Only 10% of installed power is used for dry operation
  • Only 30% of installed power is used for grinding
    Moreover the energy consumption is minimized thanks to the standard function: sequential automatic shutdown, in case of prolonged absence of material at the entrance of the grinder.
