Neofyton participated for the third time in the Propak West Africa (PWA) fair held at the Landmark Center in Lagos (Nigeria) from 14 to 16 September 2021.
Over three exciting days, experts from the packaging industry gathered to present new trends, the development of the plastics industry and the latest technology. As in previous years, the Neofyton stand was extremely well attended and numerous meetings were held during the fair. “We used Propak to see each other in person and to talk with our customers from Nigeria, but also to meet and start cooperation with new clients from Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon. Innovations in the world of plastic processing machines are always interesting topics, and this year the visitors were most interested in the novelties related to Engel technology of injection molding of thin-walled products with the possibility of using IML technology (In Mold Labeling) “, says Neofyton’s Sales Director Pedja Sandic.
Visitors had a unique opportunity to step into Engel’s virtual world on a large led screen and view each machine in detail in 360 °. The virtual Engel platform is available at: www.engelexperience.live. This was the first year that Neofyton did not introduce the Engel plastic injection molding machine in operating mode, due to the situation with COVID19.
The Wintec t-win injection molding machine was presented at Propak for the first time this year. We remind you that t-win machines have a closing force of 450 to 2400 t. “Interest in the Wintec brand was above our expectations. Manufacturers who need large machines and standard processes have found economic viability in these machines, ”, said Sales Manager West Africa, Kingsley E. Anyangbeso.
Neofyton’s sales team got a new member, Pramil Das, new sales manager for West Africa. “Neofyton’s stand was really impressive and dominant at the fair, and the interest of customers for the complete range was great, so we had a lot of work. It was a pleasure to present the best machines in the world ENGEL and that is exactly why I joined Neofyton. We can also offer to our customers all the accompanying equipment: Eurochiller cooling systems, Tria grinders and MB Conveyors. Such a comprehensive offer from a single source, significantly simplifies the procurement process for the customers and creates additional confidence in the quality and services. we are all aware of the importance of service in the production process “, said Pramil Das. The new sales manager comes from India, has postgraduate diploma in management and lot of experience in the plastics industry. After the fair, Mr. Das continues his trip to Ghana in order to further develop and expand the market.
Conferences and panel discussions were organized with the participation of numerous competent speakers from Nigeria and the world. We are very proud of our Managing Director, Zoran Tadic for participating in the panel discussion and sharing his knowledge and experience in the field of plastic processing on the topic “Innovations in the post-pandemic”. Mr. Tadic pointed out that innovation is key to increasing efficiency and productivity and that Engel is a leader in innovation. Engel machines bring up to 70% savings in energy consumption, shorten the production cycle by 20-50%, reduce the weight of the finished product by 3-5%, and in the long run, after 10 years, the machines retain a good market value. The pandemic is changing the business environment, but we must not stop innovation and further development, concluded Mr. Tadic.
This is the second year in a row that the company Inmold Plast has joined us at the stand. In mold is specializes in the production of high-quality tools for injection molding of thin-walled packaging and tools for injection molding of plastic technical parts, as well as the production of IML robots. Nikola Filipovic from the sales team of Inmold stated: “By exhibiting at the fair in very difficult conditions, in the middle of a pandemic, we have once again shown that the only boundaries that exist are in a person’s head. More importantly, we have made an unequivocal statement of our intention to be permanently present in the African market in the future. The fair was extremely successful, and the trip to Africa was very exciting. “
With its eighth edition, PWA is well known in the West African region as the largest fair for packaging, plastics, printing and food processing. Propak is visited by over 5,500 visitors and more than 200 brands.
