About FRIGEL (PDF 5.85 MB)
-
In 1960, Frigel Firenze was founded in Sesto Fiorentino (Italy) as a company dedicated to the design and production of industrial cooling systems.
-
In the 1980s, Frigel revolutionised the industry by launching the Ecodry system—the first solution to cool water using ambient air through the adiabatic effect. This concept fundamentally changed the approach to process cooling.
-
In the 1990s, an integrated cooling system was developed specifically for the plastics industry, setting new standards in energy efficiency and water savings.
-
In 2006, Frigel began its global expansion by establishing new companies and production sites:
-
2007 – new office in Florence
-
2008 – Frigel North America (SAD)
-
2011 – Frigel Asia Pacific (Thailand)
-
2012 – Frigel Latin America (Brazil)
-
2013 – Frigel GmbH (Germany)
-
2018 – Frigel India (New Delhi)
-
-
In 2011, Frigel acquired COSFI, a company specialising in industrial HVAC and cooling, which enabled Frigel to enter the oil and gas and shipbuilding sectors.
-
In 2014, Frigel Intelligent Energy Solutions was established— a division dedicated to improving energy efficiency.
-
In 2017, Frigel expanded into the beverage sector through an innovation of the Ecodry system featuring “synchronized cooling” technology.
-
In 2018, Frigel acquired Green Box S.r.l. from Padua, further strengthening its position in industrial chillers and thermoregulation.
EFFICIENCY IS SUSTAINABILITY
Frigel has always been a driver of innovation in industrial cooling.
Its solutions combine high performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability, significantly reducing energy and water consumption in industrial processes.
Neofyton – FRIGEL partner
The partnership between Neofyton and Frigel is built on a shared vision—deploying advanced technology in support of sustainable manufacturing. Frigel does not offer cooling equipment alone, but an approach that changes how factories think about energy and efficiency. Their engineers analyse each process and design solutions that optimise performance, reduce costs and CO₂ emissions, while simultaneously improving production quality.
Thanks to this philosophy, Frigel has become synonymous with “intelligent process cooling”—a blend of digital control, precision engineering, and environmental responsibility. Through collaboration with Neofyton, industrial plants across the region gain access to Frigel’s expertise, training, and support that goes beyond standard service—from energy analysis to optimization of existing systems.
