ECS: from the resin to the finished container without any interruption

SIPA has been designing and manufacturing integrated systems since 1986. The consolidated experience it has acquired and the high technological level it has reached make SIPA one of the world’s leading companies in this sector for medium-high volumes.
SIPA integrated systems, the ECS range, start from the raw material, the resin, and takes the process through to the finished container without any interruption, with total automated control of all phases of production. Costs associated with traditional two-step processes (such as preform handling, preform storage, preform cooling & reheating) are simply not part of the integrated process.

These systems are extremely versatile and can produce a wide range of standard and customized containers: lightweight bottles for standard or hot fill use, ultra-clean or aseptic bottles, pasteurizable containers, warm filled bottles, wide mouth jars, round or square-shaped bottles with capacities up to 30 liters, oval, asymmetric or tailor-made containers. A comprehensive, competitive range that makes ECS machines a sure answer to a wide variety of requirements.

ECS SP integrated systems

 

From the resin to the finished container without any interruption

Injection stretch-blow molding machines (ISBM) model ECS SP 80, 50 and the new ECS SP 25 are designed for the production of containers in smaller lots than SIPA’s existing ECS FX single-stage units. They have features that enable quick change-overs between different product configurations, and they are also characterized by their compact layouts and high energy efficiency. Moreover, the handling of the preforms (always kept from the neck) allows for neck and container shoulder design not feasible with two-step technology.

The ECS SPs are ideal for the production of bottles with volumes as small as 20, 30 and 50 mL, typically used for such products as pharmaceuticals and also miniature shampoos and lotions used by hotels.

The SP models use hydraulics when large forces are required (e.g. to apply clamping tonnage) and servo-electric drives for fast movements (e.g. open/closing of the blowing unit). This combination is very energy efficient, helping the machines achieve a carbon footprint smaller than key competition. A key feature of the ECS SP 80 and SP 25 (not really true for SP50 because it’s a 3 station concept) is that they both accept molds originally designed to run on equipment from major competitors.

SFR rotary blowing systems

The SFR EVO3 range of stretch blow molding machines improves output rates and performance

SIPA has a constant will to improve performance and efficiency of its products to bring savings and added value on customer’s investments. SIPA has worked on its rotary blowmolding system SFR in order to improve output rates, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), flexibility and efficiency. The result is the SFR EVO3: it is faster, more versatile, more efficient and it costs less to run.
SIPA rotary blow molding machines are designed to assure high process flexibility at the highest production rates.
With our rotary machines, users can produce standard containers at rates of 2,250 bottles/hour/cavity, complex custom containers such as Heat Set containers for hot filling at rates up to 1,800 b/h/cavity, or handling and blowing of very light containers with extremely high preform stretch rations (above 15).
Thanks to the SIPA rotary SFR’s unique and optimum oven ventilation system and simple and slow preform handling kinetics, the handling of light and delicate neck finishes remains easy even at such high production rates.
The possible applications are numerous: mineral water, carbonated soft drinks, milk and milk based products, edible oil, fruit juices, isotonics and functional drinks, beer and liquors.

SFL 1XL for large sizes

The best manufacturing solution for large size containers

The SFL 1 XL linear blowers are the response for small- and medium-scale production of containers anywhere from 5 to 30 liters in size, dedicated to sectors as water, oil, beer, wine, household chemicals, mineral oils.
The SFL 1 XL is ideal for production of returnable or one-way containers for water dispensers, stackable/one-way containers, kegs for beer and a wide range of large size containers, with neck finishes up to 93 mm. A special feature is the automatic insertion of the handle inside the blowing mold.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Energy efficiency is a concept that in our part of the world became important towards the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009, at the outset of the world economic crisis. Most business people had, until then, mostly declaratively considered power consumption as a significant element of the total cost analysis. In these considerations, the impact of energy efficiency on the environment pollution had hardly been tackled at all.

Neofyton was among the first companies in Serbia and the region to start actively demonstrating the importance of energy efficiency, both by cutting production costs and therefore increasing profit rates and building awareness of the resource shortage and broader ecological principles.

Energy savings through the use of Neofyton's machines

In comparison with our direct competitors in the field of plastics injection machines, and with the utilization of standard hydraulics with integrated so-called "smart" pumps, our machines consume as much as 50% less energy. The use of servo-hydraulics opens up the potential of savings as high as 70%. We have a very precise power consumption measuring device to prove this.

The company Engel was the first plastics injection machine manufacturer back in 2009, which introduced the power consumption page as a standard component of the control assembly – "Ecograph", where - next to the weight of each product (molded part) in every cycle - total hourly consumption is shown, as well as the specific power consumption per one kilogram of processed plastics (kWh/kg).

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

The equipment we represent contributes to ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION in several ways.
When it comes to ancillary equipment, above all water chillers by our supplier Eurochille, used for temperature control of both hydraulics and machine servo motors and molds (tools) in which finished products are made, the chiller systems we sell facilitate the use of a new cooling system based on the so-called "adiabatic effect".

In summer, the hydraulics and servo motors of the injection molding machines call for cooling with water at a maximum of 28°C. Using the so-called "free cooling" device with the "adiabatic effect", cooling of process water is performed without cooling compressors (which use freon as the heat exchanger). Heat exchange, i.e. cooling happens exclusively by the use of ventilators, which translates into six- to eightfold savings compared to traditional chillers that use freon-based compressors.

One of our customers has reduced the required cooling energy by 1.400.000 kWh per year, i.e. by about 70.000 EUR, using the "adiabatic" cooling devices. An additional benefit is the elimination of major pollution risks which might arise from emissions of freon into the atmosphere due to tube puncture or breakage.

A similar calculation can be applied to our Engel injection molding machines, as well as to the Piovan granulate dryers.
